How It Works

Drive Audio Player connects securely to your cloud storage and lets you play your MP3 files directly in your browser.

The app creates a contents.json file containing your song titles, artists, and track information. This cache is used to speed up loading so your music library does not need to be fully rescanned every time you open the app.

If you delete the contents.json file, you will need to remap your selected cloud drive folder so the app can rebuild your music library data.

Depending on the service you choose, the app will either:

• Use a dedicated music folder for enhanced security (Google Drive)
• Access selected music files directly (Dropbox)
• Access selected music files directly (OneDrive)

Full details are shown after you choose a login method, so you always know exactly what the app can access.

Metadata Matters

For the best experience, your MP3 files should include correct metadata such as title and artist. This helps the player organize and display your music properly.

You can edit metadata using:

• Windows: Right-click → Properties → Details
• macOS: Right-click → Get Info
